What should we do when we keep Cockatiel 

(and of course other pet birds)

I will highlight some routine that we should do when we keep a Pet Cockatiel. This is useful and necessary if we want to make sure our birds is healthy and stay with us in very long time.

However, please note that this is not all and absolute. there may be some other thing that you should do for your cockatiel. You can check out some good book on that in the right hand sight.

Daily activities.
We should clean their food and water container daily. leave it to dry before using it to put food for your Cockatiel. We should also clean the floor of the cage by removing the remaining food that drop. For me, I use old newspaper on the floor of the cage to make this job easier. we should also give food to your cockatiel daily, and may be several time a day for wet food (like hard boiled eggs or rice)

Weekly Activities
We should clean the cage from the birds dropping and also clean their toys in the cage.

Monthly Activities.
We should clean the whole cage with soap or detergent (we have to take the birds out of the cage for this purpose). Then leave the cage until it dry before put the cockatiel back in the cage.

Looks  simple right? Of course sometime it didn't matter if you didn't follow all of this guide. However, if you can follow all this guide, I am sure that your Cockatiel will able to live with you for a very long time.
