I will be happy to oblige.

But if you see above report, it seemed to work just for me. Jackie , while prepared to fly to me, was not prepared to do so to my wife.
Likewise for all other birds. The only exception was Libai.
Which was why it was so painful to me when I lost Libai from my stupidity. I knew my wife would miss Libai very much.

Sadly, you have to train your wild shama yourself, as that is a road that you and only you can walk on with your shama.
Warmest regards

Should I have a shama again, I will be feeding the shama with what I called Jackie Mash.
Instead of adding cat food as I did for Yingshiong mash, I will be adding mince meat, could be beef, or mutton or chicken.
I do not trust any form of commercial pet food as they are full of additives not requiring freezing or refridgeration.
I do not even feed my cats with commercial cat kibbles anymore, and you can see what I feed the cats now.

For the shama, I probably will reduce the carbo to half of what was in Jackie Mash , eg 100 grams of rice/wheat/barley/oats but sticking to 200 grams of quinoa

Animal protein is animal protein be that from earthworms, large or small, or insects, or beef/mutton/chicken once digested in the bird.

See the details of how the mash was made, and you might think of doing the same too.

Hi ,It is impressive the effort and understanding put in by yourself to understand the birds persona and character, thus building a reassuring bond.I think it is a great core essential in rearing birds in the whole,,the experience would be so much more fufilling.I personally ,agree and stand by the gentle soft approach. As for the notion about commercial feed for pets ,i.e catfood etc,,what you have stated is the sad truth...all major brands off feed are just subsidiaries off multi national conglomarates, like Procter and gamble or nestle whereby by- products of their human consumption product range are used to manufacture pet food, thus utilising their so called (waste material). With a bit off spray on sensory stimulator the feed may entice the pet .We ourselves have manufactured pure unadulterated feed but the sad truth is cost will always out way good intentions off the pet owner.Anyways after reading about your cat ,,i would like too give you some off our cat food,,to lessen the prep (i have pets myself so i know the time and effort needed)its basically dehydrated seafood ,squid, mussels, tuna, salmon, clams and giant earthworm powder and brine shrimp powder.(basically grounded down brine shrimp and earthworm.)Hope it helps,,,from one pet lover too another.
