Meet Yingshiong the shama

Postby shanlung » Wed Feb 08, 2006 3:24 am

You have seen that two months ago, I knew nothing about shama birds other than shama is the most shy and most timid of aviary bird and had never kept shama in my life.

Yingshiong is an old shama as well, not a young bird with the best chances of being tamed or trained or to bond with.

I believe all that you need is the understanding and the respect for your birds and creatures to do what I have done or to do even more than what I have done.

I chose not to be the Master but as an equal with my bird, whether the bird is Tinkerbell or YingShiong.

You decide if I gained, or if I lost in the exchange.

Hi Shanlung,

It is good to see the result... if many people treat and train pets birds like you do, it would be very nice... :D

Tanin,

Thank you.

What you have seen is the intermediate result to date. Yingshiong and I still have a long way to go. Perhaps in time, he will be flying outdoors with me in the parks and seashore the way it was with me and Tinkerbell.

Even if people want them as songbirds, the flying about in my apartment and his confidence that Yingshiong gained from our relationship made him sing so much more powerfully than when he first came to me.

And hopefully, others may respect shamas evern more and realised that they can gain so much more by just a little bit more effort on their shamas,

Muraibatu,

Thank you too. What I have done can be done by you or any other.

By the third week of having Yingshiong, he was flying to me and hovering in the air to take food from me as you can see in the photo below

I have recorded everyday the training that I have done with Yinghiong to share with people around the world. Not only English speakers, German, Russian, Dutch, French, Arabic and Hebrew speakers regularly visit my site for daily updates.

The report on Yingshiong start from here on his day 1 with me,
http://shanlung.livejournal.com/2005/10/14/

That will be the best point for you to start.

You will find that I hold no secrets back. Every detail, including the diet that I created for Yingshiong is there and freely shared. I believe a balance diet is the best. You do not need to add any vitamin supplement or additives to the food.

You can see from the many photos of Yingshiong the state of his health.

If you find what I wrote is helpful and useful, please share that with your friends and encouraged them to read and see for themselves.
Warmest regards

Shanlung
